Mr Surinder Mehra, managing partner of the firm, is a first class graduate from Chandigarh University (B.Com.) and was placed in the all-India merit list in the final examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
There is good news that new partner Shri Chirayu Acharya ji who is 60 years of age has joined our firm from 04.03.2026. He is Chartered Accountant, Cost and Management Accountant & a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
Earlier he was in service for over 35 years. He has worked in large private sector companies as well as Navratna Government Companies. During his employment in various companies, he has risen from junior qualified assistant to a Director Finance. During his tenor he has held various titles as Corporate Financial Controller (Project Finance), Chief General Manager as well as CFO. Apart from Accounting, Auditing & Tax, he has vast experience in preparing project reports for raising finances, export-import & investment strategies for large companies. He volunteers & is a very good and senior Art of Living Teacher and keeps everyone smiling.
He has joined our firm in place of Shri Satyam Mehra who was earlier only a sleeping partner in the firm.
Mr Mehra has 53 years’ post-qualification experience and has specialized in taxation, direct and indirect taxes, Goods and Service Tax matters, Family Settlements and audits. He has handled a large range of clients including prestigious Indian and multinational companies.
He has in-depth knowledge of Indian tax laws, regulations, rulings and judicial interpretations and comprehensive working knowledge of various other laws. Apart from advising clients on various issues under the Income-Tax Act, he has a vast experience in handling assessment proceedings under the Income-tax Act. He also handles appellate matters before the Commissioner of Income tax (Appeals) and the Income-tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT) and all the matters relating to Goods and Service Tax. As regards the Goods and Service Tax, we have been handling filing of Goods and Service Tax returns, filing of refund applications, filing of appeals before the Commissioner of Goods and Service Tax and appeals to the Appellate Tribunal. Now the Appellate Tribunal is constituted, the hearings will start soon. All the hearings will now take place online and we will be handling the same.
He also has extensive experience in audits with full independent vigour and zeal, review and financial reporting, he has knowledge and application of the accounting and auditing standards and drafting financial statements and related disclosures, family settlements for peace in families when the same are divided amongst family members.
Mr Mehra focuses on building long term relationships with his clients, and takes a holistic approach to clients' affairs. Mr. Mehra is a devotee of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar for the last 22 years and does Padamsadhana and full Sudarshan Kriya everyday and also meditates regularly with Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. In view of the same, he has clear vision of all the clients’ affairs and he is able to give quick and intuitive decisions on any challenges faced by his clients.
